Chapter 1

Q. How would you describe Daisy and Tom Buchanan's relationship with each other?
A. Their relationship is in the ruins, they can't seem to stand each other anymore.

Q. Who is truly happy? Or is no one actually happy?
A. No one is truly happy however they act as though they are.

Chapter 2 

Q. The idea of eyes is brought up, what is the symbolism behind them?
A. Eyes. They can be symbolized as the key to someone's soul. Deep down there are hidden secrets that we don't want to be revealed. (Also the front cover has a pair of eyes which shows that there's a reason for it being there)

Q.  Why is Myrtle so rude to her actual husband?
A. She's rude because Mr.Wilson is a broke bum. She assumed he was a rich man before she married him, but she realized too late.

Chapter 3

Q.Why did Tom punch Myrtle in the nose?
A. Myrtle kept repeating "Daisy" which angered Tom since Myrtle isn't at that level to belittle Daisy.

Q.  Alcohol is constantly included in the story, why?
A. Alcohol is portrayed as a way to be forgetful of problems and life. It seems that may of the characters are problematic in their own way so being intoxicated makes them feel at ease and less tense.

Chapter 4

Q. Why does Gatsby throw so many parties?
A. Gatsby throws so many parties in hopes to have Daisy Buchanan attend one.

Q.Who is Daisy Buchanan, or should I say "Daisy Fay," to Jay Gatsby?
A. Daisy Fay was Gatsby's past lover before he had to leave for war.
