Gatsby pages 11-26
In my English class we're reading The Great Gatsby and so here are my notes...
Tom Buchanan: arrogant, wealthy
Daisy Buchanan: self-absorbed, impulsive
-she's never in the moment,
Ex. "'Do you always watch for the longest day of the year then miss it? I always watch for the longest day in the year and then miss it.'"
What happened at dinner?
- There seems to be tension amongst them
What's Tom's problem?
- unhappy (with relationship?) > since Nick is some people turn to with their love issues
Are these people happy?
-By what they say, these people don't really seem happy even with all the things they have. This goes to show how unhappy people that seem to have everything still don't feel content.
