Crazy Like a Fox

Yossarian says everyone is out to kill him.

Clevinger thinks he's crazy. Yossarian kept saying in the war, everyone was shooting at him in the attempt to kill him. Clevinger says they're not only shooting at him, but everyone-- obviously the other side will shoot any of their enemies. Both Yossarian and Clevinger are right, in a way. Yes, people are shooting at Yossarian, but at everyone else too. I don't think Yossarian is crazy, he just can't seem to process the idea that people are trying to kill him. He can't seem to understand that it's a war and the whole purpose is to defend your side and defeat the other. He seems lost in his own world rather than crazy in the head since he's technically not wrong about people out to get him.
