Final Reflection For American Literature 2019-2020

This year was unlike any other...

For starters, it was cut off short because of the entire pandemic to ensure our safety. I wouldn't have thought that this was gonna be how Junior year would come to an end.

1. From the beginning of the year, this course was different from any other I've taken because I've never made a blog solely dedicated for my thoughts and practically anything I desire. Being in the system where everything is typically the same process, this course opened up a new perspective on how learning can be accomplished. Rather than leaving it in the hands of the teacher, it was put upon on the students.

2. As I look back on the experiences we had together, I found all the knowledge on life outside of high school beneficial and I really cherish the feast after the first semester. That feast was unlike any “class party” I ever had. Although it wasn’t on the actual final day, I really enjoyed it and will always be memorable.

3. I am most proud of the poems I've recited and uploaded onto my blog as well as the interview. As someone who is soft-spoken and more reserved as a person, I managed to overcome these inner conflicts of thinking "ugh. I can't do it." Although, I persevered and looking back now, I did a good job.

4. Something I could have done differently would probably be more involved. I really did lack involvement because I still am not comfortable getting out there. Working on it during this course would really have befitted me in the long run. However, I did make good friends along the way and got know people in my class a little better.

5. As I look forward, what I learned in this course that will help me in the future interview skills and security. Tips given to me during the interview during December (2019) will stick to me when I take on future interviews. In  a few years from now, I can also see myself investing in proper security for the devices I use to avoid

6. Regarding the grading option for this semester, I choose a letter grade. I believe that I earned an A because since the closure of school, I continued doing the work for this course as well as the rest of my courses. There are students who have stopped doing any school work because they found out there was a "credit/no credit" option that won't affect their GPA. Instead I kept doing the work because I knew it would benefit me on the long run to keep up with everything.
