Journal: May 8
A time I was afraid to do something was swimming at a waterfall when I went on a trip to the Philippines. This was years ago when I was barely getting accustomed to swimming. The water seemed so deep which made me believe something would swoop by and pull me down, but I was aware there were lifeguards so it somewhat eased the fear. I was also told there weren't any such creatures only harmless fish, so it was reassuring. I was just extremely imaginative as a little girl, but weren't we all at some point in our lives (or still are). It was a beautiful sight and I wanted the full experience of taking a dip in the water. I didn't know when I'd be coming back to the area so I went in with no regrets. I'm glad I did because it was a memorable moment in my life. I wish I can go back when this pandemic comes to an end.
