On Self-Reliance Part V

-What is important about "On Self-Reliance" is that you shouldn't be something you're not, but instead be yourself. You can't afford to be someone else since it'd be considered suicide.

"Nothing can bring you peace but yourself"

There are many ideas that can be taken away from Emerson's essay. However the three important ideas that stood out to me from "On Self-Reliance" is that you shouldn't be someone you aren't, nothing can bring peace but yourself, and mistakes are bound to happen, so try and learn from them.
